UPDATE: Park City Mountain Resort to Remain Open for 2012-2013 Ski Season

The ongoing land dispute between Talisker Mountain, Inc. (owner of Canyons resort) and Park City Mountain Resort has a new chapter. Talisker has pledged not to shut down operations at PCMR  for the 2012-2013 season. (For a refresher on the underlying claims click here).

As many readers may recall, the dispute centers around two tracts of land leased by Talisker to PCMR. Numerous sources are misreporting that the parties have agreed to settle their claims. This is inaccurate.  Talisker has represented to PCMR that it will allow PCMR to operate for upcoming winter. The underlying claims remain unresolved.

Regardless it is a good day for Utah skiers and business owners who can count on PCMR being open for 2012-2013.
